Another Christmas Card for the Stash!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Sorry the Post is later than usual…the Card was finished before I had to make dinner last night. After cleaning up the kitchen…I sat with Mr. Hubster and had an after dinner cup of coffee (mine is decaf!). I then went into the Office and worked on my notes from the Garden Club Board meeting, I presided over. That ate up time, with more to work on today! Then it is NCIS night! Yup, Tuesday’s we watch NCIS! After that I watch FBI and then NCIS New Orleans!  Then, I go to bed.

After reading the paper and doing the puzzles this morning (it is how I wake up!) I saw the Card and knew I totally forgot about writing up the Post last night. I just typed it up, and after this note, I will Post it!

Tonight is my Stamp Class. We are Making 2 Cards. They are Christmas Cards!  I love how they turned out! I hope you do too! I have to say, I am really pleased how beautiful they turned out!  For the next 2 Posts, I will showcase them to you!

Also the ‘Stock and Measures’ for you to CASE them if you want to replicate them!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Thanks to you ALL!

Getting that Christmas Card Deficit back into the black!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Took a day off yesterday to get some things done…like dust

and vacuuming the house! Had to do 2 loads of laundry,

and it was ‘date night’! Shower and change for dinner!

Believe me, nowhere fancy dancy…just to Applebee’s,

Mr. Hubster’s favorite place to eat!

He loves their hamburgers!

Me? It’s a night I don’t have to cook! So…Applebee’s is ok with me!

While doing laundry (after vac and dust) I made up two cards for

2 challenges, one for today and one tomorrow!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Warm Greetings to you ALL!

Happy Halloween!

Greetings to you ALL!

I had a hard time photographing this Card!

I took 20 pictures in 3 different locations!

Even with the Flash on, they all photographed too dark.

My Kitchen window location was the best!

The sun coming in, was just the right place!

Dollar Store Find: confetti in the shapes of leaves and pumpkin! See below!

I was out with a couple of women from the Garden Club, we stopped by the Dollar Store, while they both were looking for some items to make up centerpieces,  I was browsing and came upon these gems! They are called confetti, but are more like large sequins! They were packaged in three separate packages of: maple leaves, oak leaves, and pumpkins! The colors are gold, copper, and red. I used the copper/orange pumpkin sequin on the front of the card! I repackaged the ‘sequins’ into 3 plastic containers!

Here is the Card again!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Fun Halloween Times to you ALL!

A Little Birdie Told Me…!

Hello All!

I saw a card that another Demonstrator had done on her website.

Her name is Robbie Rubala.

She had done a different kind of ‘z-fold’ card!

I decided to try the fun fold too!

I printed out Robbie’s instructions.

While cutting the card base (which was easier than it sounded!)

I was cutting out the DSP per Robbie’s instructions.

I did one Robbie’s way and the other, I did a Whisper White instead of DSP.

Here are the Cards!

100_6744

The Card on the right is Robbie’s-except I matted all the panels.

The Card on the left is my version of the Card!

Here is a Close-up of Robbie’s Version

100_6746

Robbie’s version, the left side of the card, the DSP is all one piece.

I found that it made the back-fold of the card, stiff and bulky.

The matted panels were my doing, on my Card.

Here is a Close-up of my version!

100_6747

I cut the DSP the same, but I cut it down to 2 panels. Also, the

Whisper White panel on the right side, gives more space for

the sentiment and stamping! The matted panels were the same idea!

I am going to try and make these cards again, but without the matted panels.

Just a panel on the right side of the card. I found that when I tried to stand

the cards up, they wanted to tip backwards, hence the Leaves Trinkets, I

adhered to the front of the cards. It needed a counter-weight to stand on it’s own!

I think I need to see if it is the card or the added panels.

That small cut is only 1.25″ wide. I may try to make it 1.5″ wide.

HERE ARE THE STOCK AND MEASURES:

CARDSTOCK:

Bermuda Bay- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 2 1/8″ and 4.25″

mats:

Robbie’s Card:

Left panel- 1.75″ x 4.5″    Middle panel, 1.75″ x 3.25″  Right panel- 3.25″ x 3.75″

My Card:

Left panel- 1.75″ x 4.25″     Middle panel, 1.75″ x 3.25″

Whisper White-

Robbie’s Card:
