Here is my Card once again!

I am getting ready to start addressing my Christmas Cards soon!

I spent the Morning addressing ALL my Thanksgiving Cards and got them in the mail!

(I am typing this on Monday the 19th!)

Since I still had Christmas DSP out on the Craft Table, I thought this Sketch and Theme

would be perfect to get those Thank You Cards ready for AFTER Christmas!

This is a good thing to do and to teach your Children, Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews,

and so on…This is a practice all kids need to learn. It isn’t the same as texting…

Written in their hand writing, tells the giver that they/you cared enough

to take the time and write that Thank you!

What a great Life Lesson!

Until we meet again, on the next Post…Blessings and Thanks to you ALL!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Everyone!

My Thanksgiving Prayer….

Dear Lord,

Today and Everyday, I am Thankful…

First… for your Love for us ALL! A Love so great, you sent your only Son to die for us, so that we would be able to share eternity with you!

Second…for my lessons learned from the 2 people you gave me and my siblings, for Parents! We miss them much, we ask a big hug to them from us all.

Third…My Husband. Thank you for sending my a man who cares. I pray Lord, you touch his body and heal it from his ‘issues’!

Fourth…my Step-Children, who I love as if my own. Bless them both and keep them from harm. Bless them to help each other out. Bless them for their get together today!

Fifth…My Grand-Children, what a real blessing there Lord! Thank you for teaching unconditional Love from them to us. I now know what that Love is, Lord! It is the same Love you have for all of us, who believe and love you back!

Sixth…my siblings and ‘in-laws’ and ‘out-laws’ (private titles!) Thank you for keeping them in your care. Recently Lord, we Thank you for bringing Anita through a difficult health crisis. We pray Lord, you be with her through the rest of her healing process and send those, who know you well, to minister to her and my brother! Thank you Lord!

Seventh…Thank you for the nearest and dearest Friends we have. Lord I ask blessings, healings, support, and comfort for them all too! Thank you for the times of our lives that you have placed them into, when you wanted us to learn and learn from them too! Thank you for those great friends!

Lord, we Thank you and ask those Blessings, in the name of your Beloved Son, Jesus. Amen.

A Warm Christmas for PCC314…

Hello All!

Another Sketch…and I went Christmas!

What can I say…I must confess…I LOVE Christmas!

I am all for the Vintage and Rustic!!

I do like seeing all the glitz and glam too!

Today’s Card reflects the rustic and vintage I like!

Here is the Challenge from Paper Craft Crew #314

Here is my take on the Sketch!

I just want to wrap that wool blanket around me, sit in front of a fire,

drink a hot toddy, and sing Christmas Carols!

Oh wait…I live in NC now!

I’ll turn the A/C down and get myself in the mood…the

good part…I don’t have to shovel snow!

Here is the inside of the Card!

I didn’t line the card…it is light enough to write on…and I

wanted the snowflake to pop!

Crumb Cake- base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ fold in half on the score

Real Red- ‘blanket’-1.75″ x 2.75″

White Velvet Sheet- the 4 snowflakes (I used scrap pieces to die cut!)

unfortunately…this paper has been discontinued…the demand outweighed the stock and the cost to make more would cost too much for such a short time. This DSP would have gone Dec 31st…perhaps it will show up in the future…the new Catalog comes out the beginning of July…maybe it will be a staple in that Catalog…I hope so, I am bummed I couldn’t order more…hence saving the scraps!! It happens!

Early Espresso- greeting, inside sentiment

Memento’s Tuxedo Black- buffalo check on ‘blanket’

Snowflake Sentiments- greeting, inside sentiment

Buffalo Check- background stamp for the ‘blanket’

Big Shot- die cutting machine

True Gentleman Embellishments- button

Linen Thread- tied through the button

5/8″ Burlap Ribbon- behind ‘blanket’, 3.25″ long

Here is the Card again!

There are times, especially around Christmas, where I miss the Northeast.

However, the day after Christmas…nah!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Warmth to you ALL!

Candy Cane Wishes for FMS363…

Hello Everyone!

I am Posting this EARLY…I have a Craft Fair Today and I am

going to be leaving very Early…so this will be several hours early!

Making all the items for the Craft Show has put me in the Christmas Spirit!

I have Christmas on the Brain!

Many of the Challenges out their in Blog Land

are now doing Christmas themed Challenges…

…although I am at goal for my Christmas Card Stash,

I just can’t resist a Christmas Challenge!

Today’s Card is for a Sketch Challenge and it is NOT Christmas…

…but I couldn’t resist turning this sketch onto a Christmas Card!

Here is the Sketch Challenge from

Freshly Made Sketches #363

FMS 363

At first glance, it looked as if this sketch was asking

for the DSP to make a large statement…the decision was…what DSP?

As mentioned before, I was at max for Christmas Cards, but….

I had to make a ‘sweet’ card!!!

Here is my take on the Sketch!

I really like this DSP! It is called Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP.

The ‘Specialty’ is that some of the DSP is flocked!

Those ‘white stripes’ in the DSP…flocked! So Pretty!

I also used the new ‘Candy Cane Builder Punch’!

The Punch, punches out the Candy Cane AND the bow!

The Stamp Set is a 2 Step Stamp Set and I liked the that I could

put the greeting inside the Candy Cane!!!

Here is the inside of the Card!

Kept it simple and left plenty of space for that personal note and signature!

Whisper White, Thick- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ fold in half on the fold

Poppy Parade- mat for dotted strip, 1.25″ x 4.50″

Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP- left front panel, 4″ x 5.5″   right strip, 1″ x 4.25″

inside strip, .50″ x 4″

Candy Cane Season- candy cane, greeting, and bow

Versatile Christmas- retired, inside sentiment

(there are some stamp sets I will not give up!)

Poppy Parade- candy cane outline, and bow color

Memento’s Tuxedo Black- greeting inside candy cane, bow outline, inside sentiment

Candy Cane Builder Punch- front candy cane and the bow

Here is the Card once again!

I hope your Christmas Card stash is building…I will still enter challenges

with Christmas themes…just to keep giving you ideas for your stash!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Candy Cane Wishes to you ALL!
