Poppin’ Birthday…March’s Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Hello All!

Another Paper Pumpkin Kit!

This one is for this March…this month!

a TOTAL of 8 Cards! AND envelopes included!

4 each of 2 designs!

Here are the Cards!

I added Balloons to my Cards!

I got the idea from fellow ‘Pal’ Amy Koenders!

Here is Card #1

I stamped the Confetti with the stamp from the Kit!

The Balloons I stamped from the Birthday Banners Stamp Set

and then I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out the balloons!

Confetti on card is stamped in Poppy Parade (The Stampin’ Spot was included in the kit!)

Confetti on the banner was stamped in Melon Mambo.

The Balloons are stamped in Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody!

I added some Basic Jewel Rhinestones for Birthday Bling!

Here is the inside of Card #1!

The inside Pop-out came with the kit!

I added, from the kit, were the candles, bows and party hat!

The sentiment is stamped from the kit stamp set!

Card #2

The Confetti is stamped in Daffodil Delight!

The greeting, from the kit, is stamped in Poppy Parade!

Again the Balloons are stamped in Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody!

Again, on this card, I added the Basic Jewels Rhinestones!

Got to have Party Bling!

Here is the inside of Card #2

Again, I added, from the kit,  the Pop-Up insert,

candles, hats and bow from the kit!

The sentiment is also from the kit!

The Kit came with numbers to add to the card fronts…to name the Birthday year

But I don’t know who will get these Cards, so on Amy’s idea of Balloons

and no Numbers…I decided to do the same! I had left the Cards Blank

But I didn’t want to store the Cards incomplete, so I used Amy’s idea!

Here is what the ‘numbers’ sheets, that I didn’t use, looked like!

I guess I’ll save these for another project!!!

There are 2 sets given with the project (2 of every no. 0-9 on each sheet)!

I popped out the three’s to show!

Roosters on Parade!

Hello ALL!

I found some stickers before Stampin’Up!

came out with ‘Home To Roost’ Stamp Set!

Aren’t these guys adorable?

I saw a great Card by Dawn Olchefske for the

‘Home To Roost’ stamp set and I fell in love with the card!

Here’s a picture of what her card looks like…

I copied and printed the card and instructions on a page and then printed out!

Here is my CASE (Copy And Share Everything)

of Dawn’s Card!

I added the 2 greetings!

My square with the Rooster Sticker is smaller

than the one on the Card that Dawn made and colored so beautifully!

The sticker Roosters are much smaller than the stamped Rooster!

I also used Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Write Marker to color

around the feet of the Roosters to give them some grounding!

Here is a second Card I made, but with different colors!

I found this gingham DSP at Michaels and I had to use it!

Here is a picture of both cards!

Aren’t these Cheery! I Love them!

Here are the stock and measures for these cards:

Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch-  5.5″ X 8.5″ score @ 2 1/8″ and 4.25″ fold in half

at 4.25″ and then fold front flap back

(Mango Melody is Dawn’s Card)

I also used scraps of both for the greeting mats to match the card bases

Real Red- for both cards, 1.5″ x 8.5: score @ 4.25″ and 6 3/8″ (the opposite ‘Z’ fold!)

Blackberry Bliss- scallop square mat approx. 2 5/8″ x 2 5/8″

(Dawn’s Card approx. 3″ square)

Shaded Spruce- square mat approx 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″

(Dawn’s Card approx. 2.75″ square)

Pacific Point- scallop square mat  approx. 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ (my card)

the square is smaller to accommodate the smaller sticker

Granny Apple Green- square mat 2 5/16″ x 2 5/16″ (my Card)

the square is smaller to accommodate the smaller sticker

Whisper White- 2.5″ square, approximate (my card)

(Dawn’s Orig, card 2 5/8″ square, approx. and she used Watercolor Paper)

1 1/8″ x 1 5/8″, ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting, I added to the card

scrap for stamping and punching out second greeting (It’s your Day)

Botanical Butterfly– 4″ x 5.25″ and a second pattern, 1.75″ x 5.25″- left strip

Green Gingham- from Michaels 4″ x 5.25″

Santa’s Workshop DSP- left strip (red with white dots)

Stamp Sets:

Itty Bitty Greetings- ‘Happy Birthday’

Itty Bitty Birthdays- ‘It’s Your Day’

Dawn Used a greeting from the ‘Home To Roost’ stamp set

Memento Tuxedo Black- greetings

Dawn used her Aqua Painter with Stampin’Up! Classic Ink Pads

Real Red, Mango Melody, Shaded Spruce, Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand

to watercolor her Rooster and ground!

Big Shot- die cutting machine

Layering Squares Framelits- scallop square and square mats

Stitched Shapes Framelits- Whisper White square with the Rooster Sticker

Dawn used the same Framelits, just the larger sizes for the stamped Rooster

1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch- ‘It’s Your day’ scallop circle

1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch- mat for the scallop circle greeting

I added the greetings with mats to my card!

Here are the Cards again!

Here are 2 leftover Roosters…Yes, I made four of each Card for my stash!!!!

There are 2 sheets of Roosters

I only used 8 off this sheet of 10

I have these 2 Roosters and another page of 10!

I guess I’ll have to go to Pinterest to find more ideas!!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Happy ‘CASE’-ing to you ALL!

Here are the Cards!

Card #1

This Card, I followed the instructions and used most of the supplies.

The Poppy Parade flowers are from the stamp set included in the kit!

However, I did use a different twine from my stash!

The Crumb Cake from the Nature’s Twine pack!

I also used a different Stamp Set-Healing Hugs.

The inside…

I used Poppy Parade inside too along with the Fresh Fig!

Card #2

This Card I used a different card base, I used Smoky Slate Cardstock!

I also used the Mint Macaron twine color from the Nature’s Twine pack!

the inside…

The greeting and inside sentiment are from the stamp set that came with the kit!

Card #3

Again, the Blackberry Bliss from the Nature’s Twine pack!

I also used the Basic Black for the card base and

Lemon Lime Twist for the mat, for the succulents!

The greeting is from the included photopolymer stamp set, from the kit!

the inside…

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set.

These 3 Cards I made different from the other 6…these will go to my SIL

who is fighting brain cancer. I usually mail out one card a week to her.

The rest of the cards (6) I made Birthday Cards!

Here are some pics of the instructions!

An instruction sheet is included in each kit!

This is the step by step visual aid with instructions under the pics!

That little ruler at the bottom is to measure the length of your twine!

This is a pic of what is included in this kit!

All you add is your tape runner! In your very first kit…you will receive an

acrylic ‘D’ block from Stampin’Up! to be used in the rest of your kits!

All consecutive stamp sets in these kits will fit this block!

Here’s a pic of the 2 card bases included in the kit, that I didn’t use!

A close up of the white base…it had a textured look!

I now have 6 Card bases to use for something else in the future!

A Succulent Love, Two-fer for TSOT399…

Hello Everyone!

Welcome Back for 2 Cards for a Double Challenge!

Today’s Cards are for Challenger

Try Stampin On Tuesday # 399   (TSOT399)

This Challenge is similar to Fusion Challenges!

We were Challenged to use the Inspiration Photo or the Sketch…or both!

Here is the Challenge!

TSOT 399-Succulent Love

Succulent Love!

I made 2 Cards for this challenge!

I used a Bread and Butter Plate! I traced around the edge of the plate

onto my DSP and then hand cut the oval out!

Not to waste a thing too, I couldn’t decide which way to go

with my Card…I used both pieces of DSP and made 2 Cards!!!

Here are my Cards!

The left is the larger DSP and the right is the piece cut off!

NO WASTE! 2 Beautiful Cards!

Here is a Stand alone of the Card on the Left…

Love those Succulents! Again I used the retired ‘Oh So Succulent’ 2 step

Stamp Set and the matching Succulent Framelits for these Cards!

I prefer these succulents over ALL!

Here is the stand alone of the Card on the Right!

The cut out piece from the larger, still follows the sketch!

Adding the Circles was my idea…the succulents needed something to make the POP!

It also followed the ‘Oval’ shape to give those succulents a base to stand on!

Here is how the inside of BOTH Cards were designed!

I am so happy I didn’t get rid of this Succulent Stamp Set and Framelits!!

Whisper White Thick- card base

Whisper White Regular- circles, stamping the succulents, greeting banner

Lemon Lime Twist- banner mat and strip down the right side of card

Painted Seasons DSP- 4″ x 5.25 piece, oval cut out

Starburst Punch- smaller scallop circle

Succulent Framelits- to die cut ALL succulents

Basic Jewels, Rhinestones- on card fronts

Here are the Cards again!

Which do you like the Best?

Mr. Hubster likes the one on the left…I like the one on the right!

I am seeing that the succulents are still on trend too!

My last Garden Club Meeting…the topic was Succulents!

My take away from that meeting…

Take the succulents out of the pots you buy them in,

gently squeeze the potting medium off the plant that was used by the seller.

*It is Peat Moss and it can turn to brick and choke your plants. (this goes for all plants!)

The Plants are shipped from California to all over the US…they need to use light weight

Peat Moss for the best cost for weight, for shipping.

After squeezing, pinching off the Peat Moss…

Lay the plant down on a dry paper towel and let it heal itself from

any root breakage (a couple of days). It won’t dry out (the leaves hold it’s water!)

Make a mix of GOOD potting mix (i.e….Miracle Grow Potting Mix) and Pearlite, 50/50. This is an excellent mix for these and all plants!

They also do not need a lot of watering…water about once a month!

Water, let drain out, till no more dripping… place in a well lit area,

but not direct sunlight! Enjoy your succulents!

Until the Next Post…Blessings and Succulent Love to you ALL!
