A Little Break!

Hello All!

Sorry I haven’t Posted in a few days…Mr. Hubster downloaded

Windows 10 to our Computer and it is a whole new world!

All of my Favorites are GONE! Yes, even getting to this site!

I did make it, but I am also trying to figure out where is the rest of my stuff?

As soon as I get it together, I’ll be back!

I feel like I am learning the computer stuff, all over again!

I am persevering!

Until I get back for the next Post…Blessings and New Discoveries to you ALL!

A Retirement Booklet Card!

Hello Everyone!

a couple of days ago, my sister Michele,

texted me that she needed a Retirement Card!

A Co-Worker in her Office is Retiring at the end of the month!

Michele told me that she calls him, ‘the Legend’!

I told her I had an idea…then when I went to make the card…

I went in a totally different direction!

Many people (about 25-30) will be signing the Card.

I went with a Booklet Card!

I also decided to do a Nautical Theme too!

Here is the Booklet Card!

I went with Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Whisper White.

The DSP is the Come Sail Away DSP.

I used 5 different patterns for the pages!

Here is the Card Front!

I generated the Greeting off my computer!

I stamped the sailboat and birds.

Inside the front cover & page one!

All stamping and all die-cuts were placed to the corners,

Had to leave room for ‘The Legend’s” co-workers to sign!!

Pages 3 & 4

I stamped the Compass and the cut out the dial hand, and added a silver brad!

Again, lots of open space for signing!

Page 4 & inside back cover!

I die-cut the ships wheel and adhered with a silver brad!

The sentiment on inside back cover, a rogue stamp in my stash!

Night of Navy- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ fold in half on the score

a scrap piece, to die cut the ‘dial hand’ on the compass

Whisper White:

front cover- 4″ x 5.25″

Inside front Cover-3.75″ x 5″

4 Pages- 3.5″ x 4.75″

inside back cover- 3.75″ x 5″

Crumb Cake- rope die cut along the edge of page 1

Poppy Parade- the die cut ship’s wheel on page 4

inside covers and page flaps, 5.25″ x 11″ score @ 4″, 4.75″, 5.5″, 6.25″, 7″

concertina fold the scores, be sure to fold to make the flaps up on the side of the DSP

that you want to show.

4 pieces for the pages, glued onto flaps and together, to make a double sided page, all 4 pages are cut, at 3.75″ x 5″. Use Tear & Tape on the flap part and liquid glue or tape runner for the rest of the pages to glue together, evenly. I put one page, with Tear & Tape, on the flap, then lined up the opposite page, edge to edge with liquid glue, and then adhered down the Tear & Tape on the flap part.

Sailing Home- sailboats, lighthouse, anchor, compass, birds, sentiments

front cover- generated off my computer

inside back cover- Judi Kins stamp (I purchased a Hobby Lobby)

Night of Navy- all stamping, excluding the anchor

Basic Gray- the anchor

Big Shot- die cutting machine

Smooth Sailing Dies- rope and ship’s wheel

Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine- rope off anchor

Stampin’Up! Mini Brads in Silver- compass center and ship’s wheel center

Here is a peek at the open booklet!

one Christmas Card design a month!

This will help them to build up their Christmas Card Stash too!

By December 2nd they will have made up many Cards for their stash!

July will be Christmas In July! 2 each of 4 Christmas Cards!

And then again for the months of November and December too!

Those 3 mos. alone will give them 24 Cards for their stash!

WhooHoo! A good way to get a jump on them!
