Hello All!
Thank you for peeking in for Today’s Card!
I so appreciate your patronage to my blog!
Thank you for letting me into your mailbox!
Today’s Card is for the
Church’s Card Ministry!
One of my favorite places to pray, is at the beach!
I feel more connected to the Lord there!
I think the sheer vastness of the oceans and therein,
remind me of His greatness!
I was designing this card with just the palm trees in mind,
to match one of the Tropical Print DSP I found in my stash.
When I stamped the palm trees and added the DSP with the mat…
I didn’t like it!
With the palm trees stamped, I had to think of what I
was going to do with the card base…Et Voila’!
A Tropical Paradise!
Here is the Card!
I really want to be sitting in that Chair, right now!
Here is the inside of the Card!
I brought the front to the inside!
But, not to overpower the message!
HERE IS THE LIST OF ITEMS USED TO MAKE THIS CARD:
CARDSTOCK:
Michael’s- card base (realize, all these card bases were given to me, to use up!)
base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ inside panel, 3.75″ x 5″
Pacific Point- 2″ x 2″ piece to die cut Chair inside mat, 4″ x 5.25″
STAMP SETS:
High Tide- sand, water marks on cardfront, inside birds
Sailing Home- front birds
Timeless Tropical- palm trees
Waterfront- sun
My Favorite Things Stamp Set- greeting and inside sentiments
INKS:
Memento Tuxedo Black- greeting and inside sentiment, all birds
Crumb Cake- front and inside sand
Sahara Sand- front and inside Palm trees
Seaside Spray- front stamped water
inside water- I used an Aqua-Painter filled with alcohol, instead of water
I find it dries faster and doesn’t warp the paper much. like water.
Soft Sea Foam- using alcohol filled Aqua-Painter, picked up Ink from pad lid and brushed over the palm tree fronds, to give a little hint of color, very subtle!
Mango Melody- sun
TOOLS:
Big Shot- die cutting machine
Seasonal Layers Dies- chair
Here is the Card, again!
Yep! Wish I was in that Chair NOW!
(Soon enough!)
Until the next Post…Blessings and Prayers for you ALL!
(even though I am not at the beach, you’re ALL worth it!)
