Welcome Baby!

Hello All!

Ah…my Niece and her Hubby Welcomed their First

Child on April 9th!

It’s a Boy!

I sent a Card to them and then decided to make a

girl, version of the Card!

Onesies!

Here are the Cards!

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the inside panel!

I now have two of these in my stash!

A close-up of the boy’s!

Alas, only one left in the stash…I’ll make more if needed!

To cut out the neck and legs, I used the Layering Circles Dies!

The pen is pointing to the size I used to cut out neck and legs.

It measures approx. 1 3/8″

For the inside panel, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies!

I off-set the size, Stitched Rectangle Die, I used to make the panel.

HERE ARE THE STOCK AND MEASURES AND DIRECTIONS:

CARDSTOCK:

Balmy Blue and Petal Pink- 4.25″ x 11″ score @ 5.5″ and fold in half on the score

Using the Circle Die, (I tried the punch, it wouldn’t punch through the 2 layers of Cardstock) place it, centered on the fold line, about half on and half off, Run through your Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. Then, place the circle on each of the bottom corners and run each through the Big Shot-Die-Cutting Machine. Voila! neck and legs!

On a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock, with a 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, punch out 3 holes, leaving enough room around each circle hole, to use your 1 3/4″ Scallop Punch, centered over the previous punched holes, and punch out the Scallop Circle Frames. You will use these for the neck and leg ‘holes’! Glue them onto the card front, around the holes, trim off the excess circle on all three holes! Trimmed neck and legs!

To make sleeve/arms: from the top of each corner measure down 1 1/4″ make a tic mark on both sides with a pencil, with ruler across the whole card front, lining up the 2 tic marks, from the outer edge, on both sides, towards the inside, measure 1″. Then from the 1″ mark, down to the outside edge, of each leg hole (draw a line from ‘under arm’ down to leg.)  With your Paper Snips, cut into the 1″ mark, then cut from the leg hole up to the 1″ mark (underarm), cut through both layers of cardstock. Repeat on the other side.

Using a Scallop Edge Border Punch, you can punch out a strip of scallop trim. Attach the strip to each of the arm ends, trim off the excess. Voila! the onesie is trimmed!

The boy is shorter, I made a trim off the bottom,

I placed my circle die, too far off the corners.

The ‘leg holes’ were not right.

I trimmed a little off the bottom, and it was fixed!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Baby Love to you ALL!

Let me know what you think!
