ON ANOTHER NOTE:
I have been on a clearing out binge…I got the new shelf unit and that prompted me to do an inventory check and a purge…this will be a bonus for my Card Class Ladies!
I have much DSP that I have accumulated (or should I say, hoarded!) and I need to purge my stash! I did use some of the DSP I bought from those ‘shares’ I told you about earlier…here’s a recap of what those are…at the beginning of a NEW Catalog release, or the 2 Mini Catalog releases…many demonstrators offer ‘shares’ of the DSP (you get a sampling of all the DSP, offered in the Catalog) or shares of DSP with embellishments, or ribbon too!
I usually sign up for DSP shares…I really want to look at the DSP before I purchase. This helps me decide if I have a real use for the DSP or the Suite itself. Sometimes I can tell before hand, if I really want the DSP. I then pre-order those. DSP I am unsure of…I will then buy one of those ‘shares’ from one of the Demonstrators, whose Blogs I follow!
Case in Point…the Dinosaur DSP and the Best Dressed DSP…not something I would use a lot of, but I did use what I had on hand from the shares to make something up! If I can’t think of a Card or project to use the DSP, then it goes into a baggy/sandwich bag to be sold or given away (depends on how much is there!)
ALSO,
I have purchased some ‘rogue’ DSP from the ‘box stores’ with every intention of using, but alas, not so…these will go into baggies for give away too! I am sure the ladies from my class will be able to use these papers…I will let them pick and choose from the packs, what papers they would like to take home and make cards with!
One of my resolutions this year in Cardmaking…simplify!
When you are bedded/bogged down, it is hard to be creative. But, I also believe that I will keep what I know I will use up…no more hoarding…Well…I will try real hard! LOL!!
I feel like the kid in a Candy Store when it comes to paper!
What Cardmaker doesn’t?
Until the next Post…Blessings and Clean Wishes to you ALL!
