Good Morning Magnolia Lane!

Hey Y’all!

My Southern Greeting to you all!

The title for this almost sounds like a Soap Opera, Right?

The first shot…

…pans out from a Magnolia Plantation, set deep in the South…

LOL!!!

Ok, back to the Post!

Today’s Card is the Card we made last night at my Card Class!

I ‘CASEd’ (Copy And Share Everything) this Card,

from Pat Tecza, of Ramblin’ Stamper…who

was inspired by Dawn Griffith, with this ‘gate-fold’ card!

It is called an ‘Interlocking Gatefold Card’!

Here is the Card!

This is it closed up, ready for mailing!

Petal Pink cardstock measures 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 2 1/8″ on each end

(score and flip side over to score)

Petal Pink piece to cut out oval frame using

Layering Ovals Dies, using the largest and the 3rd size in from the largest.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for the greeting and the Magnolia bud.

The bud is colored in with Light Petal Pink and the

leaves with Light Old Olive, Stampin’ Blends.

For the mats, 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock cut 2″ x 5 3/8″

The DSP is 2 pieces, cut 1 7/8″ x 5.25″

Here is the Card partially opened, to show the ‘Interlocking’ feature!

The greeting oval fits through the cut out oval!

The greeting oval is cut with the 3rd oval,

from the largest in the Layering Ovals Dies set.

Here is the inside of the Card!

The inside Whisper White panel is 4″ x 5.25″

The large Magnolia bloom is stamped in Petal Pink Ink.

The sentiment is stamped with the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I always forget that using a lighter color, you can stamp a background and then

stamp the sentiment over it! Love this!

Here is that pretty Card again!

Love this Card!

Pat also mentioned, any nice ‘scripty’ font would be beautiful on the front! LOL!

I hope you try this type of card…you could also use a square, or rectangle,

or even a circle, for your ‘Interlocking’ opening! Try it!

Until the next Post…Blessings and New Folds to you ALL!
