I love how the card came together!

ON ANOTHER NOTE!

We have Deer that pass through our yard and sometimes stop to munch on some bushes. If Mr. Hubster or I spot one, we yell out “Oh Deer!” to let each other know that there is a deer in the yard! We love watching them! They are such graceful animals! They are one of the many Wildlife Critters we have in our yard! Sometimes it’s an Owl, lots of Cardinals, Robins, Wrens, Sparrows. We get the occasional squirrels. We have Hummingbird feeders out, we have 6 Hummers coming to them. We had a Raccoon that was getting into the Hummingbird feeder. Every morning it would be on the ground. I was afraid it may be a bear, yes, they are around too! I haven’t seen one yet, but I can live with that! My neighbor across the street had one, she took pics and showed me! So we put up night camera and yes it was the raccoon! So we moved the feeder away from the deck and problem solved! I now have 3 feeders out for the hummers! It’s funny, I buy sugar for the house, for the birds! We hardly use it! Over all it has been very interesting to see what will come into our yard! Can’t wait to see what’s next…

Until the next Post…Blessings and Oh Deer! to you ALL!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I went to swimnastics today (it will be yesterday as you read this!) it was great (I missed all but one day, last week!) It was great to see everyone again! After I got back and changed, I went and picked the last of my lettuce (sad face). I looked at what was in the fridge and for the most part, it was wilting bad. I tried to resoak and see if the bad wilted would wash away…it didn’t, so I ended up throwing all down the garbage disposal. I do have one container left, it was what I picked today. I then up rooted all the lettuce stems and discarded them. Now I have to figure out what to grow in place of the lettuce (I can’t plant anymore lettuce till the fall). Mr. Hubster wants to try carrots again. I guess I’ll have to go look at seed and what is a good veggie to grow now in hot temps! (beside carrots!) I also picked a few tomatoes off the vine…the grape tomatoes are still producing, they are getting taller too! The regular container tomatoes I planted, I picked 3 off the bush today…I have about another 4-5 green ones and then just as many that are too small and green. I then watered all my plants and came in to play with the lettuce. All in all, the garden had been good this year!Must have been all the rain we had in the early and late Spring! The Summer has been hot and humid. We caught a break the last couple of weeks with cooler temps and not as humid. However, the humid heat is coming back. We also will be getting some rain Thursday, with a chance on Friday and Saturday too. We take it as it comes! After all this is not in our control!!! I will be at Swimnastics all this week, hopefully…I did finally catch up with all the housework! Now to get myself back on a schedule again!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Garden Love to you ALL!

Happy Blessed Sunday to You ALL!

Hello All!

Well, I finally finished the remake of these Kit Cards!

There were 4 different, yet similar kits! In each kit were the makings for 6 Cards!

On the last Post, I showed you one of each of the 3 different card bases with DSP,

and the stickers that were included. I am not a sticker person, but I made the best of

what was offered and just put them all together. I really wasn’t happy with them, so I

decided to do a remake of all the cards, matching the card bases with some of

the Cardstock from Stampin’Up!

Here are the results!

On the Left of each is the original I showed you on the last Post!

On the right are the remakes, showing both cards from the Kit!

First Kit, 6 Cards, I call it the Brown Kit!

Cards #1 & 2

I took off the Holly sprig, punched out some stars in White

and Mat the stars in white! I did reuse, but moved the greetings!

I did use white cardstock, previously on all this card kit,

to Mat the strip of DSP on the left side!

Cards #3 & 4

I die cut some Ovals and Scalloped Ovals, adhered the ornaments,

to show them off a little better! I used the same greetings!

I also switched the greetings!

Card #5 & 6

I Mat the Trees with die cut Scallop Ovals and

die cut the ‘Merry Christmas’ from Spruce Green Cardstock.

As you can see, I chose not to use the upper sticker or the gift!

Second Kit, I call it the Pink Set!

Cards #1 & 2

I did not change this card at all! I left it as it was!

Cards #3 & 4

I punched out scallop and plain circles to Mat the ornaments.

I also Mat the greetings, so they stood out better, to greet!

Cards #5 & 6

I liked the idea of tags, so I made a large square of Granny Apple Green,

I trimmed the gifts with Melon Mambo, and die cut a bow in Melon Mambo too!

Third Kit, I called it the Blue Kit!

Cards #1 & 2

I got rid of the ‘tag’ and made a greeting and matted it with Rich Razzleberry,

I also punched out scalloped circles to Mat all the snowflakes!

Cards #3 & 4

Again, I punched out scallop circles to mat all the snowflakes and added

Mat greetings to the Card. I did use the original ‘Noel’ on the card on the right!

Cards #5 & 6

I stamped the greetings and Mat them.

Again I punched out scallop circles to Mat all the snowflakes here!

The Forth and Final Kit, I call the Santa and Gifts Kit!

Cards #1 & 2

First I Mat Santa and Rudolph and gave the card a grand greeting!

The second Card I Mat with circles and scallop circles!

Santa, Mrs. Claus, an Elf, and Rudolph, family!

Cards #3 & 4

I Mat all the ornaments on one card and used the greeting from the original card!

The second card, I decided to Mat the gifts and use a tag for the greeting!

I thought the tag went with the gifts!!!

Cards #5 & 6

I ditched the stockings and made a large gift, trimmed the ‘tag’ sticker, and used

all the candy canes to decorate the gift! The gift is for Santa!!

The second card here, I Mat the tree and gifts, and mat the greeting and gifts too!

I hope you like the remakes, as much as I do!

Now, if I send them out or gift them, they are better than they were before!

I wanted these to be a bit more appealing, I believe I achieved that goal!

Thank you so much for peeking in today!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I am going to try and get myself more on schedule! I will be doing my Swimnastics 5 days a week when I can…for the most part, that should be doable. On the second Monday’s of each month, I have a Garden Club meeting to conduct. So I will miss THAT day for swimnastics! With this new year, came a new job…I am President of the Garden Club for this year of 2019-2020. I will be busy with getting that organized with myself! Hopefully, I will be more confident with myself as the meetings go along! The first Tuesday’s are the Board Meetings, with my Board, before the General Meeting, which will be the second Monday’s of each Month! I ask for prayers, as I too pray…this is the first time I have ever been a leader of any kind of Club. I am somewhat organized, but I have days I do fail at that! I just need to write it all down and proceed with what I do know and lead with inclusion of all!

I wish you ALL the best and I am working hard to get these Postings, my Class, and the Garden Club all organized! The best is that our Grand girls are going to be here in 11 days! They will be with us for 2 weeks and we are just excited! So the schedule for the first week in August…On the 6th, the FIRST Garden Club Board Meeting, on the 7th is my Card Class, and On the 8th, the Grand girls arrive! So there may be days I do not Post…I will be having fun with the Girls…I do miss them, though, I was blessed to have breakfast with them, when I went up to RI for Sister’s Week! That is why I went up early, so I could see them! Also to see my Son and Daughter too! Squee!

Mr. Hubster is just as excited as I am for the arrival of the Grand girls! He is the one giving me the countdown of days till they Arrive!!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Summer Fun to you ALL!

Working on Stuff…!

Hello All!

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I am in any of the Craft stores…I find items that look like they would be fun to do. I look for many things when I shop, but sometimes I fall upon items like today’s cards! Truth be told, I do not remember which of the Craft stores I purchased these kits from, but it has been several years and I decided to just put them together. I did try to sell them at my Craft Sale, they didn’t sell. I decided that I would finally put them together! What follows are the cards I put together. It took 2 days to put these together…the heat here has been horrible. We have caught a break in temps and I am getting ready to hit the Craft Room again! I have a few errands to run and then I am going into the Craft Room to play!

Each Kit shown below had the makings for 6 cards, with envelopes!

There are 2 of each card shown!

Kit #1

The kits come with card base, DSP, and stickers. I trimmed down DSP to fit the Card base. The strip trimmed off the DSP, I used for a contrast for the 6 cards! Although these are finished with the stickers…I set them aside and will get back to them again. I have some ideas on other things to do with these cards! I want to die cut some greetings for these!

Kit #2

A non-traditional Christmas colored trio! I like it!

Again I have some other ideas to do with this set of cards!

Kit#3

Another non-traditional color combo! On the middle card, I punched out 3 circles, sponged them with Flirty Flamingo Ink and put the stickers on the circles! I may do the same with the others…working on the ideas!

Kit #4

This looks more like Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite!

Again I have some ideas for a change up here!

I will get back to these after my errands! Consider these the before pictures!

The only one I won’t change is the one with the circles punched!

I just may removed all the stickers here and start over!

As cute as some of the stickers are…they’re stickers and I am not in love with them!

Stay tuned…this may take a couple of days!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Good Change Ups to you ALL!

The Rest of the Graphic45 Cards!

Hello ALL!

Here are the rest of the Cards I assembled from the Graphic45 Card Kit

I received from the class I took at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Chantilly, VA!

100_6310

100_6311

Here the kit instructions! I cut them each out and put into Ziploc bags, by the months. You assemble the cards from the bags. Some pieces can come from 3 different months!

Here is a closer look at how they were to be cut out! This helped in hunting down the pieces I needed to complete each card!

Card #7 (Cards 1-6 were a week ago!)

100_6312

I used my Layered leaves 3D Embossing folder on the Card front!

Card #8

100_6313

I added the Garden Green Baker’s Twine and an anchor trinket to this card!

AND I added the Garden Lane DSP!

Card #9

100_6314

This is as shown…the insides of all the cards, I made my own!

Card #10

100_6315

I love this Card! Reminds me of my Sister Linda! Linda loves Violets!

Card #11

100_6316

Lots of ‘white space’ on this card!

That little bird is ‘fussy cut’!

You can’t see it, but I used the

‘Subtle’ 3D Embossing Folder on the front.

Card #12

100_6317

Again, I used the ‘Subtle’ 3D Embossing Folder and I also sponged with Crumb Cake.

They showed their card sponged…so I did it too!

Card #13

100_6318

What a great Card for encouragement!

I didn’t have enough of their ‘pink’ ribbon, so I added the Ombre’ Calypso Coral Ribbon!

Card #14

100_6319

A great Mother’s Day Card…I trimmed the greeting down.

I wanted it to just say “Mother”!

Card #15

100_6320

I love seeing this card! It was this picture that made me want to take this class!

Card #16

100_6321

Love this one too!

Card #17

100_6323

Just a simple Hello card! Sweet!

That ‘sunflower’ is fussy-cut!

Card #18

100_6324

It amazed me how many of these cards used lots of layers and then many

that used minimal amounts of layers!

Card #19

100_6325

Just hugging her kitty!

Card #20

100_6326

I sponged this Card in the new Stampin’Up! In-Color Terracotta Tile!

I used my Stampin’ Blends, alcohol ink pens, to color in the pots and flowers!

I also used Pacific Point to mat the greeting and the square frame!

Card #21

100_6327

I used the Cajun Craze Cardstock to mat the greeting and the card front piece!

Card #22

100_6328

It doesn’t show up well in the picture, but those are 2 heart rhinestones!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Cards #23 and #24 were on Monday’s and Tuesday’s blog post, respectively!

All in all, I made 48 Cards! Remember, I make 2 each of my Cards.

I did buy the extra kit to do so!

I have many pieces left over! I am going to figure out how I can use them up.

The cards I have shown, all measure 4.50″ x 6″.

The cards I will make with the leftover pieces, will be the A2 size of 4.25″ x 5.50″.

But, I will do that later…I want to work on other challenges and just set this project aside for now!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Love to you ALL!

Another Christmas In July for JAI466…!

Hello ALL!

Another Christmas In July Card!

The end of my Graphic45 Card Kit!

Here is my Challenger

Just Add Ink #466  (JAI466)

JAI-466

Since I just finished the ‘Year of Cards’ Kit from my

Graphic45 Class I took at the end of June at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo,

this card and yesterday’s card just happened to coincide

with the 2 Christmas Challenges! Lucky me!

Here is my Card!

100_6338

Look at the faces of those kids!!!

Kind of long for those days again with mine!

Here is how I decorated the inside of the Card!

100_6339

The strip is from the kit, I stamped in Garden Green the sentiment.

I used the same sentiment for yesterday’s card too!

I think it really goes with the ‘kid’ theme!

I hope you like the cards…tomorrow will be the rest of the Cards I made from the Kit!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Cooler Weather to ALL who are wanting it!

Christmas In July for TGIFC221…

Hello ALL!

Today’s Card is for a Christmas In July Challenge from

TGIFC #221

TGIFC221-Christmas in July

I know the whole East Coast here is praying for relief from this heat!

High 90’s with Heat Indexes of 105-108*F…it’s hot!

I hope today’s card makes you feel cooler!

However, in December we will be wanting heat!

We are never content!

Here is my Christmas in July Card!

100_6336

Love that little Girl!

This was at the tail end of my Graphic45 Kit,

from the class I took, back at the end of June!

The Card Kit was all inclusive, I did take some liberty to make these my own!

I added the Real Red Cardstock and the 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon, in Real Red too!

I stamped the sentiment inside!

100_6337

The sentiment is from the retired stamp set called, Versatile Christmas!

ON ANOTHER NOTE…

I hope this day finds you all well and staying cool! It has been warm here too!. I have an Ecobee Thermostat, and when the weather is this hot, the demand for energy to cool, is great. So the electric Company, takes control of the Thermostat and sets it higher, to conserve energy. I have to admit this takes getting used to! It isn’t as cool as I’d like it, but I really don’t want to see energy blackouts either! So the truth to late cards here on my blog, is that it has been too hot to play in the Craft Room! I have swimnastics in the a.m. Monday-Friday…I get into the Craft room after that, but I can’t stay long. On Sat., it’s my only day to sleep in, and then it’s housecleaning day. Sunday, up early for church and then home to do Laundry. Ironing on Monday after Pool! The pool helps, but because it is hot, the water really isn’t refreshing, the sun makes it like bath water…when I get home, I take a cool shower to cool off! Next week it is supposed to have temps, mid to highs in the eighties and lows in the mid to high range too. 85*-89*F days, 75*-80*F evenings. I hope it is cooler, and soon, the heat is getting to me!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Cool Thoughts to you ALL!
