Happy Day after Easter!

Do you have a Candy Hangover?

I was good this year…most the candy I bought, I sent to the Grand’s!

I did buy Mr. Hubster a bag of those individually wrapped,

Mini Reeses White-Chocolate  Peanut Butter Cups.

You kind of eat less when you have to unwrap those teeny things!!!

That’s my story and I am sticking to it!

Truth be told, they aren’t my favorite…mine are the Mini Cadbury Eggs!

I was good this year…I bought NONE!

Earlier in the season, I bought him his Jelly Beans, 1 bag limit!

He will Thank me later!

I hope you all had a Great Easter…I was a little under the weather,

nothing serious, just not my best. I think its just part of my body reacting

to all the activity it got last week getting the gardening done!

I figured, I’d break speed and get the worst done before we get the Summer Heat.

I love working outside in the Early Spring and Late Autumn!

It takes it all out of me come Summer!

I just go out in early mornings, if any weeding need be done!

I do go out, in the early morning and early evening, to water too!

For the first time, last year, we grew our lettuce, green beans,

yellow beans and 3 different tomatoes.

This year we are growing the lettuces again, green beans and sugar peas.

I bought the 2 tomato plants, 1 basil, 1 rosemary and the 1 mint!

I also did get some flowers (annuals) for my hanging baskets in my Gazebo!

Until the next Post…Blessings for Grace and Wisdom to you ALL!

Love this one!

I took several days off…I have been getting my gardens and house ready for the

Warm Weather Seasons!

Here is how my week went!

Sunday after Church…I came home and changed into my gardening clothes…I went to Lowes and bought my dirts (yes plural, different types), some flowers for my hanging pots in my gazebo…(it came with the house!) also picked up grass seed. I ran to Tractor Supply to pick up my lettuce seeds, green beans, and sugar peas. I unloaded the car, hauled everything to the back yard in the new wheel barrel Mr Hubster bought me, the Friday before! I put the dirt (potting soil) in the trough for the lettuces, planted the seeded discs and set up the large pots for the beans and sugar peas, and planted the beans and peas, and I potted all the flowers (white petunias and red impatiens) 6 pots. I also got 2 more large pots filled and ready for tomato plants. Dirt in and tomato cages in place and ready!

Monday- went back to Lowe’s and bought the tomato plants (2 grape tomatoes and 2 regular tomatoes for container gardening) I also picked up 3 mosquito plants (for the gazebo), a basil plant, a rosemary plant, and a mint plant. I came home and planted the tomatoes and set out the other plants. I then came in and showered and then vacuumed and scrubbed floors. Then cooked dinner, and cleaned up.

Tuesday- got up early and started laundry. Went to the Women’s Bible Study, Cooked dinner, after dinner, I Weed Wacked the yard, Mr Hubster mowed it on Monday. The battery died and I had to charge it up! Will finish Wednesday.

Wednesday- Got up early, finished weed whacking,  and then took the 5 bags of ‘top soil’ and filled in the big dip in the front yard (it filled with water every time it rained, like a lake!), and seeded with grass seed, went around back and seeded the dirt I dumped from the trough  before the Hurricane Florence, last year. I scratched and seeded that! I then got my battery operated hedge clippers and went to town on the front hedges (5 Boxwood Hedges) then trimmed up some green bushes (2) that we have…don’t know what they are! Some kind of pine! I then raked the yard and cleaned up all the clippings, what a lot!

Thursday- got up early and then grabbed the power washer and power washed the front entry (it doesn’t get any sun, and it seems to turn black…have to blast it about every 2 years!) then I went around back and power washed the back side of the house, the deck, and the gazebo. Changed out one of the Hummingbird feeders and showered, then heated up leftovers for dinner! Went to the Knitting Group from Church.

Friday- Got up, made coffee, go get the paper, read the paper, did the puzzles (morning routine!) and then made myself go read 3 days of e-mails! that took time! I then started getting all the Color and Sketch Challenges that have come out and get them organized and put in chronological order for me to do! Mr Hubster and I went to Dinner (Friday night date night! We went to Applebee’s!) Came home and I then worked on 2 days of cards…this is the first of those, tomorrow’s is the second.

Saturday- tomorrow! I am just going to make cards for my challenges for next week! Starting with Sunday’s Card!

So my friends, I am just like all of you! We all have our routines and then when the outside seasons come we go to town! I got it all ready and now all I have to do is water and reap the bounty of the labor!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Seasonal Prep Love to you ALL!
