Hello Everyone!
Welcome Back for 2 Cards for a Double Challenge!
Today’s Cards are for Challenger
Try Stampin On Tuesday # 399 (TSOT399)
This Challenge is similar to Fusion Challenges!
We were Challenged to use the Inspiration Photo or the Sketch…or both!
Here is the Challenge!
Succulent Love!
I made 2 Cards for this challenge!
I used a Bread and Butter Plate! I traced around the edge of the plate
onto my DSP and then hand cut the oval out!
Not to waste a thing too, I couldn’t decide which way to go
with my Card…I used both pieces of DSP and made 2 Cards!!!
Here are my Cards!
The left is the larger DSP and the right is the piece cut off!
NO WASTE! 2 Beautiful Cards!
Here is a Stand alone of the Card on the Left…
Love those Succulents! Again I used the retired ‘Oh So Succulent’ 2 step
Stamp Set and the matching Succulent Framelits for these Cards!
I prefer these succulents over ALL!
Here is the stand alone of the Card on the Right!
The cut out piece from the larger, still follows the sketch!
Adding the Circles was my idea…the succulents needed something to make the POP!
It also followed the ‘Oval’ shape to give those succulents a base to stand on!
Here is how the inside of BOTH Cards were designed!
I am so happy I didn’t get rid of this Succulent Stamp Set and Framelits!!

Which do you like the Best?
Mr. Hubster likes the one on the left…I like the one on the right!
I am seeing that the succulents are still on trend too!
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
My last Garden Club Meeting…the topic was Succulents!
My take away from that meeting…
Take the succulents out of the pots you buy them in,
gently squeeze the potting medium off the plant that was used by the seller.
*It is Peat Moss and it can turn to brick and choke your plants. (this goes for all plants!)
The Plants are shipped from California to all over the US…they need to use light weight
Peat Moss for the best cost for weight, for shipping.
After squeezing, pinching off the Peat Moss…
Lay the plant down on a dry paper towel and let it heal itself from
any root breakage (a couple of days). It won’t dry out (the leaves hold it’s water!)
Make a mix of GOOD potting mix (i.e….Miracle Grow Potting Mix) and Pearlite, 50/50. This is an excellent mix for these and all plants!
They also do not need a lot of watering…water about once a month!
Water, let drain out, till no more dripping… place in a well lit area,
but not direct sunlight! Enjoy your succulents!
Until the Next Post…Blessings and Succulent Love to you ALL!
They both are beautiful but I like the left one best.
Briliiant, thought – love the negative effect almost more than the other! Great coordination – and just plain lovely! Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!
Lovely card, Cheryl!!! Succulents seem to be everywhere! I even made some paper ones that look so lifelike! Thanks for the potting tip, too! I like BOTH your cards! Very clever how you worked in the white space as your half circle in the sketch!!! Thank you for sharing your cards and tips with us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!!!! -Donna
