Geared Up Masculine Birthday for PCC326…

Hello Everyone!

Welcome Back!

Today’s card is for a Masculine Birthday!

I used the Sketch Challenge from

Paper Craft Crew #326  (PCC326)

Here is the Sketch!

Since Valentine’s Day is over…I decided to do a masculine card!

Here is my Card!

Those smudges…it’s a stamp!

Here is the inside!

I stamped the smudges 4 times across the front and the same here, inside!

Whisper White Thick- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ fold in half on the score

Whisper White Regular- some scrap pieces to stamp the car and greeting

Crushed Curry- mat for greeting

Classic Garage DSP- larger piece, 3″ x 3.5″

smaller piece, 2″ x 2.5″

Geared Up Garage- car, oil smudges, greeting

Itty Bitty Birthdays- inside sentiment

Tranquil Tide- car

Gray Granite- grill and rims, oil smudges

Balmy Blue- head lights and windows

I used my Aqua Painter, filled with alcohol (instead of water) and used the inks from the lids of the ink pads to ‘paint’ the car. I use alcohol because it dries faster, less warping AND…I can use regular weight Whisper White!

Tailored Tag Punch- greeting banner, I trimmed down the tag,  to a size to fit below the car, on the card!

I fussy-cut the car.

Black Rhinestone Jewels- upper right hand corner of the DSP

Clear Epoxy Shapes- headlights!

Here is my Card again!

A Drive down Memory Lane…

When I was a young girl, in the 8th grade, in California…there was a teacher

at my school by the name of Mrs. Trejeo…she owned a Mustang.

The color of the car was that deep Metallic Green, where it almost looks Black!

Oh my!

I had dreams of owning a car like that!

It was so pretty.

All grown up…I have never did own a car like that!

And World didn’t end because of it too!

Funny, that car was all I thought of, while making this Card!

Until the next Post…Blessings and many runs down your Memory Lanes!

A Spot of Tea for Friends…

Hello Friends!

I am of English Heritage (mixed with other UK Nations!)

My Great Aunt Mary (God rest her soul) was one of those proper Aunt’s

I was lucky to remember from my youth!

She would ask for a ‘spot of tea’ (a cup).

Sometimes in the evening, she would ask

for a ‘spot of tea with a stick in it’…as a youngster I

couldn’t understand why she would want a stick in her tea.

At first, I thought it was a cinnamon stick, or maybe a vanilla bean….nope!

Tea with a stick, is tea with a shot of Brandy in it!

Go Great-Aunt Mary!

Here are my Cards!

Card #1 on the Left, Card #2 on the right!

These Cards are similar in design, but the greetings are different.

Here is Card #1!

Simple Greeting, stamped right onto the Card front.

Here is Card #2!

The greeting is stamped, punched out, and then matted!

Here is the inside of the Card #2

Card #1 inside sentiment is the same, minus the ‘Birthday Wishes’.

It was blurry, so I didn’t publish it!

Here are the Stamp Sets, DSP, and Framelits used for the Cards!

The stamp set with the Tea Set is available from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.

It is named Tea Together

It is free with a $50 purchase (before taxes and shipping)

Right now you are able to get the Tea Time Framelits

to cut out the Tea Pot and Cup!

With a $100 order (before taxes and shipping cost)

from Sale-A-Bration!

The DSP is Gingham Gala from the Occasions Catalog.

It is used for my table!

I used the In Every Season Stamp set for the rose on the Pot and Cup!

Wonderful Romance Stamp Set for Card #1 Greeting.

Varied Vases Stamp Set, I used for the greeting on Card #2

and the inside sentiments on both cards!

I used the Delicate Lace Edgelits for the bottom of the ‘tablecloth’!

I colored the cards with Stampin’ Blends:

Old Olive for the leaves, Daffodil Delight for the Pot and Cup

and Flirty Flamingo for the roses.

I stamped the greetings and inside sentiments with

Memento’s Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad!

Here are the Cards, again!

Great Aunt Mary was adorable, my Dad and his Brother (Uncle Rush) would

take her home from a function at Uncle Rush’s and she would ask them to flip

her mattress. They would and then they would make her bed. Yup! They

Would ‘short sheet’ the bed! She would laugh and just fix it later!

Sometimes they would take all her statues and tuck them in the bed!

Great Aunt Mary could take a joke! You wouldn’t think it looking at her,

But she did. Makes me smile that memory.

Until the next Post…Blessings and Good Memory Smiles to you ALL!
