I am working on some Christmas Cards!
I am CASE-ing a Card from fellow Pal, Humphrey Alene.
Here is her Card!
The pines on the right, are not on the Card…I used the back of the paper
as a mat , when stamping the inside of my Card.
What was not on the insert’s corners, ended up on the paper
and it bled through to the copy paper!
Here is my take on Humphrey’s Card!
I used Crumb Cake (instead of green) for my base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″
I also used Crumb Cake for the front panel, 3.75″ x 5″ (used the old Crimper to Crimp,
looks like Humphrey used a Stripe TIEF)
I also used Soft Suede for a mat for my panel, 4″ x 5.25″
I did use Very Vanilla for my greeting square, 2.25″ x 2.25″ (cut out with the
Stitched Shapes Framelits)
A scrap piece of Very Vanilla I used to stamp the bow,
(punched out with the Candy Cane Builder Punch)
I used the Stampin’ Blends-Light Cherry Cobbler to color the bow
I also used the Stampin’ Blends-Color Lifter, to lift some of the color
from the bow, so the reds would match up better!
The pines, I used Shaded Spruce (cut out with Pretty Pines Thinlits)
The pinecone is Soft Suede (cut out with the Pretty Pines Thinlits)
The blanket is Real Red and I used the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
with the Buffalo Check Background Stamp!
I cut the piece to 1.75″ x 3.75″
( I used my Fringe Scissors to ‘fringe’ the end of the blanket!)
The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso Ink
using the Christmas Pines Stamp Set.
Here is a close-up of the fringed blanket!
Humphrey also fringed her card too! I love it!
Here is the inside of my Card!
You can see now, how the pines are off the corners…that is what bled through the Copy Paper the picture was printed onto from my printer! I do not know what the inside of Humphrey’s Card looked like, only the front was shown.
I used the Christmas Pines Stamp Set to stamp the pines and pinecone!
Using Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Inks.
The sentiment is from Versatile Christmas, stamped also in Soft Suede Ink.
As a Side Note…I have had some of my Cards CASE’d too!
“Imitation is the highest form of flattery!”…Charles Caleb Colten
I hope Humphrey Alene is flattered…her card was very inspirational to me!
Until the next Post…Blessings and ‘Imitation Flattery’ to you ALL!
