It seems so long!

First Sister’s Week…it was wonderful!

Then, the evacuation to West Virginia to escape Hurricane Florence!

I went to one of my sister’s!

Another week away!

We came home last Tuesday, Thanking the Lord…we were spared.

What happened to us is NOTHING…compared to some

of the damage others here in our community suffered.

Mr. Hubster and I took a ride around today…sad.

My heart is heavy seeing the water damage to homes.

Many trees down, some on homes.

It is awful to see.

Why we were spared…only the good Lord knows.

We are Thankful to the Lord!

Until the next Post…Many Blessings and Give Thanks for what you have!

  1. 2 things… First of all, Welcome back! 🙂 and 2nd, that card is truly beautiful! You are going to send it to me, right? haha! And I guess there s a 3rd thing… Praise God from whom all blessings flow! You were spared because He knew between the 2 of you, there is no way you’d be able to handle the clean up and repairs. Please just keep Brandon and Elsa in your prayers that their clean up and repairs will go quickly, efficiently, and above all, correctly! They have a battalion of friends helping them rip out all the sheet rock and clean up right now, but they will be needing to get the sheet rock and other stuff to do the repairs.. Pray it is available to them. It breaks my heart they are going thru this. The little guys are with Kit in Virginia right now. I love you and am still praising God for your blessings!

    1. So true Mary, we were blessed! Our neighbors across the street stayed through the storm and fared well…they gave us the blow by blow of what happened around our house. The waters came, but not deep enough to cause us damage! My house right now is looking like nothing happened! Just tree debris…all picked up and gone! Lawn mowed and just the weed whacking is left to do…just about a block or two further down the road, starts all the damages. Blessed we are. My little bridge is askew and I can’t get to it to straighten it out. When the water recedes we will hook it up to the mower and pull back into place…that puppy is heavy! A little sapling fell over, root ball up, into the pathway, I use, to get out to walk. The pathway is flooded deeply in several areas so I can’t walk there at all. The Pool is closed, lots of nasty water flowed into them! Both Pools! I guess my workouts will entail cleaning up the yard and seeing how I can help out our other neighbors. I am going to check in with our church Sunday…I am going to be taking over water there and I am going shopping for some cleaning supplies to donate too. Blessings to you!

Let me know what you think!
