are my favorite stamps…I think I love anything floral!!! These stems can also be used for

some background stamping too! I will be doing that on some future cards!

I kept the inside simple too!

This Card is going to my Friend Patsy! She is still going through her illness,

and Thankfully she is consumed with her new Grand-Daughter! It gets her mind

off her pain and limits, and she can hug and cuddle and smile with this bundle

of joy, God provided at the right time! God is Good! Patsy says she is so Blessed!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Recovery here in Fairfield Harbour, in New Bern, seems to have hit a wall.

Thankfully Red Cross is still delivering sandwiches to people here.

It seems a lot of the work has come to a slight stand still.

All those affected by the Hurricane are waiting…The FEMA decisions.

The group that was to come down from VA to help in clean up has been cancelled

because of the wait now for FEMA. I asked for names from church people that need

food and I have a couple of names. plus the couple I did earlier…I’m sure they need

another meal and shower. I sign off with work to do today.

Thank you Lord for allowing me to be able to this, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Today, many couples break up because they seem to fall out of love…I guess

if the mad passion isn’t there anymore, they seek that madness

in a ‘fresh and new’ other person.

I am not mentioning abuse…that is a whole different issue than

what I mention here. If abuse, I say run and get out.

Sometimes Marriage will lack the ‘passion’ because of many factors…health,

age, special needs children, surgeries…many other reasons.

These reasons I mention, are doable.

When the vows are said…sickness and health, richer or poor, better or worse.

My Parents went through many ups and downs in their marriage…some would

say they should have given up and let it go…but the one thing they wanted, was

to make it work…willing to give up, whatever it was

that was separating them from each other.

They didn’t stay together, because of the kids, they stayed because

they BOTH were willing to make it work!

They were into the ‘Staying There’!

They both told me…during my lifetime…

They ‘Warm and Fuzzy’ feelings will fade over time.

It can. That is reality. You need to work to bring it back.

The hard times with no money and wondering how you will make it.

It happens. That’s reality. Make do with what you have.

Wondering what to make for dinner, with whatever is left.

That’s Reality. Many Breakfast for dinners.

Feeling as if your world only revolves, for a Special Needs Kid.

It does. That’s Reality.

Not able to have Sex, because of a medical condition.

It happens. That’s reality. There are other Intimate ways to Love.

My folks always looked at the vows they took.

They took their Vows, seriously.

I miss my Parents, but I thank them for all they brought and taught us kids.

Mommy passed away in Jan. 2015.

Daddy passed away May 2018.

In October, it would have been 66 years for them.

They passed the Milestones shown in my Card.

I will give this Card to a family Member,

on their Anniversary,

in Honor and Memory,

 of my Parents.

Mom and Dad (4)

My Favorite Picture of the two of them!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Love to you ALL!

ON ANOTHER NOTE…

The call came out to feed a crew from another state at out church. I have the makings for a dinner and dessert, I have offered this. Waiting to hear back…things are progressing, but with dotting i’s and crossing t’s…it does take awhile to really get things moving along. The big thing now is getting the services up for the massive curbed trash pick up started. Many can’t strip houses till their Insurance Companies have inspected their homes and the damage. Unfortunately, the wait causes the items to sit longer, and it can cause undamaged items to get damaged from moisture and new mold growing. The Companies are overwhelmed, they are being precise and concise, being patient is hard for many…so many elderly are here and need help cleaning out their homes of all the damaged furniture, flooring, and even cutting out the walls and insulation. Many homes are still without power, the water was that deep. The electrical crews are starting to put up temporary power poles to those homes that were affected. The schools have sent work crews of students and also many churches are sending out their youth groups to help…a GREAT thing, but the needs are greater still. I ask for prayers for New Bern residents…they need help. The businesses are starting to reopen in the Historic Downtown area…but the garbage heaps are there too. I have been through a few things, but this is one of the worst I have seen. The only thing that was worse was 9/11. I am not going to minimize New Bern’s damage, it is great and all over…however, we are not giving in #NewBernStrong!

ON ANOTHER NOTE!

Slowly getting back into the swing of things!

I am still in awe of the damage to homes in this area.

I know we are not sitting in a flood zone…although the waters came past my house

they were not deep enough to flood the house. Almost like an overflow of the water

retention ditches…we have debris (we have cleaned that up) but nothing like those that

lived close to the water, the Neuse River flows into our waterways here. On National

television, they showed New Bern…that was in the Historic District of the City.

There are several areas that are all part of New Bern.

We live in what the natives here call the boonies!

We are located, a ways off, from the main parts of the city itself.

I have to say I am happy we picked this house. When Mr. Hubster super-imposed

the flood zone map over out area, this house was not in the flood zone.

Whew! That is what I think saved us from flooding…however, the two lots on either

sides of us, had many trees snapped off at the top and took out smaller sapling-like trees.

Our neighbor and us, were spared trees on our houses, but she ended up with several

tree tops in her back yard! None hit the house! Thank you Lord! The lot on the other side

of us, one tree snapped and took out a smaller tree that laid across our side yard.

We don’t have any idea who owns the lot, but we pushed

the tree branches back over to the lot.

We mow what is part of the lot, the trees and undergrowth, I don’t touch!

Thankful and Blessed to be ok. Now on to helping those that need it!

My Posts maybe sporadic…

If I don’t post for a few days…I am trying to help people, near me.

Until the next post…Blessings and Love to you ALL!
