I will use this card for my sister Mary, who is housing the rest of we sisters,

for Sister’s Weekend/Week at her house, up in RI!

I will be taking my last break for the year up in RI for this Annual Get-Together

for we Sisters…we decided several years ago to do this once a year, to catch up with

each other, news of spouses, children, jobs and the such…I do hope to be able to do

this for a long time, I do enjoy this time with my sisters!

From last chat…we are going to invite our 3 Brothers out to join us

for a dinner, one night…to catch up with them too!

Not sure of the plans, but would love to have the SIL’s there too!

Although our spouses won’t be there (one may) it would be nice!

I’ll keep you posted!

I am working on several other items to have for the time

I will be away…if not all done, then I apologize for the hiatus…

But I will be back in full swing when I return from this trip!

Stay Tuned for updates!!!!

Love and Blessings to you ALL!

Masculine Birthday for TSOT376 & TSOT Technique!

I have another Masculine Birthday Card to show you!

I noticed my Masculine Birthday stash was low, so this is the

third or fourth card I have done to replenish my stash!

Today’s Card is a combination of 2 Challenges, from the same Challenger!

One is a Technique Challenge and the other, a Sketch Challenge!

Here are those Challenges!

TSOT-August Technique-Add Dimension No Foam Tape

It was mentioned that you can add dimension 3 ways…without foam dots or squares!

First, stacking die-cuts from chipboard under the stamped image.

Second, stamp on craft foam, cut it out, heat to shrink to size you want.

Third, overlapping or layering card elements.

I went with the First way…I used 6 layers of cardstock instead of chipboard!

(the 5 layers of Soft Suede, and then the stamped wheel layer)

Here is the second Challenge, the Sketch Challenge!

Optional theme: Pop It Up!

I decided to use the yellow circle for my ‘stacked, popped up’ technique for dimension!

Here is my Card!

The Wagon Wheel is my dimensional pop-up!

A Technique Note: to stamp the wheat to reflect each other, I first stamped onto an acrylic sheet and then turned it over and used it, as a clear stamp to reflect the wheat on the opposite side of the card front. The left side is the stamp side, the right side is the side I used the ‘acrylic stamp’!

Here is a side view of the Popped Up/Stacked Wheel!

I used my 1 3/4″ Circle Punch to punch out the wheel, and then 5 circles in Soft Suede

to glue together, stacked, and the stamped image on top!

I used my small 1/8″ Hole Punch in the center of the wheel ‘stack’

and put a brad through it, to look like the wheel hub!

Here is the inside of my Card!

The strip, left over, from the front panel…I stamped it the same as the front.

I also stamped the wheel again, then I cut it in half and adhered. I do make 2 cards,

at once, when I make my cards, so the other half of the wheel is inside the second card!

Whisper White Thick- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″, folded in half on the score

-inside panel, 4″ x 5.25″

Soft Suede- mat on front, 3.75″ x 5″          5- 1.75″ Circles to stack behind wheel image

Whisper White, Regular-  a piece to stamp the wheels onto and then punch out

Festive Farmhouse- front panel, 3.5″ x 4.75″    inside strip- .75″ x 4″

Country Road- greeting, wheel, star, wheat

Special Celebrations- inside sentiment

Memento Tuxedo Black- greeting, wheat

Cajun Craze- star, inside sentiment

Soft Suede- wheat, wheel

Crushed Curry- wheat

Soft Suede- used to color the outside edge of the wheel for stacking

(the white cardstock has a white core, to let it become part of the stack, I colored around the edges and let it blend into the rest of the Soft Suede stacked circles)

1 3/4″ Circle Punch- 2 wagon wheels and 5 circles in Soft Suede Cardstock

1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch- punched hole for brad in center of wheel

Metallic Brads- leftover from my Paper Pumpkin Kit-July 2018-Picnic Paradise

used for the center wheel hub

Here is my Card again!

I am getting my Masculine Cards built up again! Yay!

Hoping you can too!

Creating and Blessings to you ALL!

A Fruit Basket for PP406 &SIP164!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome Back for a Peek at another Card!

Today’s Card is for a Combination of 2 Challenges!

One is a theme Challenge-Fruits & Vegetables

The other is a Challenge to use your Scraps!

Here are the Challenges!

From the Paper Players  PP406

I opted for Fruit on my Card…I do not have any vegetable or fruit stamps!

Which leads to Challenge #2

Stamp Ink Paper #164-Use your scraps!

SIP-164_Use your Scraps

I went through my scrap drawer…it is where things I stamp and cut out or trim, or extra parts from Kits I have left over, or even leftover DSP pieces go! I sorted through and found the pieces from the July 2018 Paper Pumpkin-Picnic Paradise!

Here is my Card!

Leftover Paper Pumpkin pieces, leftover Tutti Frutti DSP, leftover piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, leftover piece of Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker’s Twine! Even scraps of Whisper White Cardstock, I backed the Berries with those!

Here is a side view of the Card to show the dimensional look!

I used the long piece of the basket, cut it in half, and then ‘braded’ it to the basket. I then curled the handle over to give it dimension! Backing the berries with the Whisper White Cardstock also gave the Berries a little dimension too!

Here is a close-up of the fruit in the basket!

The fruit was popped up enough to slip the leaves in behind the berries!

I also sponged the strawberries with Real Red Ink to make them more true

to the Real Red color in the DSP. I used White Craft Stamp Pad Ink and sponged

over the blueberry, to give it a more realistic look! It’s lightly done, I didn’t want

to make the blueberry, white!

Here is the inside of my Card!

I loved how the Card turned out! Makes me want to go grab some Berries!

Night of Navy- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored @ 4.25″ fold in half on the score

Whisper White- inside panel, 4″ x 5.25″ (scraps for backing on berries)

Crumb Cake- leftover piece to trace basket side onto and then, fussy cut

Tutti Frutti DSP- leftover pieces for the card front and inside, front piece- 2″ x 5.25″

inside strip- 1″ x 5.25″

Soft Suede- greeting, inside sentiment

Paper Pumpkin 2018 Picnic Paradise Stamp Set-greeting

Special Celebrations- inside sentiment

Big Shot- die cutting and dry embossing machine

Basket Weave TIEF- for dry embossing, picnic basket (Crumb Cake piece)

Paper Pumpkin July 2018 Picnic Paradise- basket handle, strawberries, blueberry, leaves, tag, tissue paper (blue buffalo checked) (I had one end of a basket left, since I make two cards at once, I traced the end onto a scrap Crumb Cake cardstock piece and then ran through the Big Shot to dry emboss with the TIEF-Basket Weave

Baked Brown Sugar Baker’s Twine- to tie tag to basket handle

Here is my Card, once again!

I liked that I could use my leftovers! You can try that yourself!

Happy Creating and Blessings to you ALL!

Here is my Card again!

My Mother had beautiful penmanship. The ‘Script’ on the front and

inside of my Card reminds me of my Mother’s writing.

I have her Bible, and she wrote many notes in the margins…I love looking

at her notes…it’s like she is there leading me through the pages.

Thanks for stopping in and Blessings to you ALL!
