Welcome Back for another Card for a Sketch Challenge!

This Challenge Card is for

Here is the Challenge!

I flipped the sketch 180 degrees, the circle is on the upper right side!



Here is my Card!


I pulled out the ‘NEW’ Designer Vellum called ‘Graceful Glass’!

It is gorgeous! It looks like stained glass. You color it in yourself!

I really liked the Iris’s in this particular frame!


Here is the inside of the Card!


Kept the inside simple. Enough space for that personal note.




Heather Highland- card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ score @ 4.25″, fold in half on the score

front strip- 1.75″ x 5.25″

Old Olive- scallop circle for the mat

Whisper White- front circle, 2″        inside panel, 4″ x 5.25″

front panel under Vellum, 1.50″ x 5″


Highland Heather- greeting and inside sentiment


Dark Old Olive- stems

Dark and Light Highland Heather- Iris’s and pearls

Dark Pumpkin Pie- Iris center

Dark and Light Smokey Slate- border/edge of Vellum

Dark Pool Party- wispy strip through sky

Light Soft Seafoam- sky



Heartfelt Blooms- greeting (SAB retired)

Kindness & Compassion- inside sentiment


Share What You Love- front panel, 2.75″ x 5.50″   inside strip, .75″ x 4″

Graceful Glass Designer Vellum- strip with the Iris’s


2″ Circle Punch- greeting circle

Starburst Punch- scallop circle


Basic Jewels-Pearls- colored with Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends

There are many patterns in the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum!

I cut apart many of the pieces and I will be using these up!

So many different patterns! Stay tuned!

  1. These colours are so pretty together! I love irises in flower and yours are coloured so beautifully! The layers add such depth and I love how you’ve framed your image so it pops over the grass background.

    1. After coloring, I used some Whisper White cut to the ‘Iris’ panel size, as a backing for the vellum. It didn’t look good with the background DSP showing through at all! I am happy with my card!

  2. I love how you rotated the sketch so that the sentiment was up the top. It really catches your eye there and then leads you to your beautifully coloured irises! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
