Yes, I did get ‘inky fingers’ but some things are just worth it!

some more of the ‘NEW Toys’!!!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Beachy Love to you ALL!

Abstract Expressed Love!

Hello Everyone!

Beside my spouse, I have a couple of good Friends I love to the Moon and back!

Every Now and then, you gotta let them know how much you love them!

I was playing with paper and different ideas kept popping up…the

final project…my Card!

Here is my Card!

100_4855

I am loving this Lovely Lipstick Color!

Stamped with Melon Mambo,

you have a winning combination!

I also decided to try a different fold for this card! I folded the front of the Card

back on itself and adhered down. I added Whisper White and the

Garden Impressions DSP. I cut squares and then cut the squares in half

diagonally to make the corners…and this is my result!

Here is the Card Open!

100_4856

The piece of Whisper White on the left, is the left over piece from the panel on the front!

The inside corners are a rectangle cut on the diagonal

and then attached to the card corners!

The front, is 2 pieces put together.

I just kept piecing till I got what I wanted!

However, the front Whisper White panel is 2 1/8″ x 5″, the cut DSP is next to that!

The inside Whisper White panel (on the right) is 4″ x 5 1/4″, the rectangle is

2″ x 2 5/8″ and cut in half on the diagonal.

The Stamp Set is a 2-step stamp set named

Abstract Impressions, it is the inside sentiment.

The greeting is from Suite Sayings, retired now.

I used Melon Mambo and Lovely Lipstick for the flowers.

I used Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz for all the leaves.

To tie the whole thing up….Metallic Edge Ribbon-Silver.

Here is the Card front once again!

100_4855

So, go ahead and make that Card with your expression of Love and

get it in the mail to that/those great Friends!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Love to you ALL!

Under the Sea…Birthday Turtles!

Hello Everyone!

Today’s Card is from a Color Challenge I missed out on…I just loved the

Color Combo and decided to run with it!

Here in North Carolina, we have a Sea Turtle Rescue!

It is at Pine Hill Shores in conjunction with the Aquarium.

Each year, a release is done for all the Turtles that had to be rehabbed for one injury or another. It is a big Event and everyone is happy to see the Sea Turtles return to the Ocean! So cool to watch…and they let the kids participate in the release!

What a great life lesson! People, we need to stop throwing our trash to the oceans.

We really need to stop injuring, either on purpose,or through our own carelessness, we need to stop littering our oceans. Think before you pack for an outing.

On to Today’s Card!

Here is what the Challenge from TGIF was…

Inspired By a Box…Part 2!

Hello and Welcome Back

for Part 2 of my Box Inspiration!

Remember Yesterday’s Photo of my products I bought, when my Friend,

Joan and I went shopping, during her visit here with me in NC?

To Refresh your Memory…

Neroli Sol by Thymes

I hinted yesterday to look at the lids…did you figure it out?

Answer: Woodgrain!

Here is my Card!

100_4851

The bottom of the box was this Woodgrain look.

Both lids on the products had a Woodgrain pattern, I know the smaller bottle doesn’t show well, it is actually on the very top of the cap!

I stamped the greeting in Tranquil Tide and then quickly sprinkled with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and heat set. The surface of the ‘box’ is smooth and the greeting would have smeared, left as is…so I decided to heat emboss, to set!

The Stamp Set used is named Special Celebrations

The jar of flowers is from Michael’s Recollections, Spring Essentials Chipboard Sticker.

I mat the Woodgrain onto Tranquil Tide Cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered to a Coastal Cabana cardstock base, 8 1.2″ x 5 1/2″ scored @ 4 1/4″.

Here is the inside of the Card!

100_4852

I kept the inside very simple.

Again matted with Tranquil Tide 4″ x 5 1/4″

Whisper White Panel is 3 3/4″ x 5″

Also stamped in Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin’ Ink with a stamp

from Special Celebrations Stamp Set. I did not have to heat set the inside.

I do hope you find inspiration from everyday ordinary things!

Who knew? A box!!!

Here is the Card again!

100_4851

Until the next Post…Blessings and Inspirations to you ALL!

Inspired By a Box, Part 1!!!

Hello!

What do you mean, inspired by a box?

When my Friend Joan was visiting, we went to a store in the

next town over…I purchased a Lotion and Spray.

Here they are!

Neroli Sol by Thymes

When we got home and I opened them up…the items sat in their own box and the lid slipped over the bottom…sort of like a double box! I wish I took a picture of the before…but take my word for it!  I mentioned to my friend that I liked both the lid and the inside box. She laughed and told me that only I could think of a way to use them on a Card! Well. I did! Today is a Card made with both box lids…a lot of trimming before the final product! Today’s Card is Part 1 of using the box parts!

Here is my Card!

100_4845

So Beautiful and Tropical!

Here is the inside of my Card!

100_4847

This little strip is from the smaller box that the spray was packaged into so elegantly!

Stock and Measures:

Cardstock:

Soft Sea Foam-card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ score @ 4 1/4″ fold in half on the score

Bermuda Bay-bottom mat, 4 x 5 1/4″

Powder Pink-top mat under box lid, 3 13/16″ x 5 1/16″

Whisper White-inside panel, 3 3/4″ x 4 7/8″

Stamp Set:

Abstract Impressions-greeting and inside sentiment

Ink:

Bermuda Bay-greeting and inside sentiment

Here is my Card again!

100_4845

So go ahead and use the cute, pretty, neat packaging from an item you bought!

There are really no rules…I just thought the box design was pretty,

and I figured out a way to use the lids!

Tomorrow’s Card is with the Inside Boxes!

Here’s a hint: look at the lids on both of the Thymes products!

Until the next Post…Blessings on your Creativity too!

Play it Again, Folks!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome Back for a peek at Today’s Card!

Do you remember this card?

It was the Card my Stamp Class made in May, for Mother’s Day.

100_4705

I decided to use the Card as an inspiration to make another Card.

The DSP is discontinued, as well as the Pink Pirouette card base.

I had about 6 of these card packets left over from the class…all I had to use was,

the uncolored flowers, the Old Olive lattice and the blank Whisper White banner!

I have been looking at the new Mango Medley Cardstock and I decided to run with it!

I flipped the Card on it’s side, used the new colors and Viola’!
