20 Cards from the Card Swap at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo!

Hello Everyone!

Do you remember me telling you about the Card Swap,

I entered into for the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo?

We all had to make 21 Card for Swapping…One for the sponsor,

and 20 Cards to Swap. I made my 21 and made it to the swap!

All but one of my 20 were picked…evidently that is good!

To refresh your Memory…Here was my Card!

There were 38 card makers that swapped cards!

That means I had to leave 18 good cards behind!

It was a tough decision to decide which cards to take and which to let go…in the end, it all worked out and those that had theirs left were giving them away! We were first asked to take a walk around and peek at all the cards and then we were to put our ticket stub beside the card that most stood out to us…like a vote for the best…I didn’t get any, but being my first time ever doing this…most of my cards were gone! I wasn’t voted on, but they did get taken by others! I can live with that!

The following Cards are the 20 Cards I selected to take!

Instead of up and down, I turned the card on it’s side and made it a

gate-fold type card! It’s lying down so I could photograph the card closed!

June’s Paper Pumpkin Alternates!

Hello Peeps!

I subscribe to Paper Pumpkin.

Every month, I receive a kit to make up either cards, home décor,

or another paper craft idea.

June’s Paper Pumpkin was tied into out new

Broadway Bound Suite!

In the New 2019-2019 Annual Catalog!

Here is the kit instructions, along with the flyer announcing the tie in!

The top pictures shows the completed cards from the kit.

These Kits come with everything you need to complete the projects!

The only thing you supply is a tape runner and about a half hour of time!

In this kit…8 Cards were made, 4 of each of the 2 cards!

Even the envelopes are included, along with ink, die cuts, pearls,

the ‘Hooray’, a stamp set, sequins, even the Baker’s Twine.

Here is my take on the Cards!

Card #1

I cut another flag banner from the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP!

I added a different Cake and topped it with 2 candles too!

I eliminated the tie around twine on the card and just let it be behind

the marquee! I also added 2 of the balloons to the left of the marquee!

Here is the Card #2

Again, I cut a different banner from the DSP and added it to the Card.

I also added a cake with candles to this card too!

Here they are together!

At first, I wasn’t wowed by this DSP, but now that I have it and have made

these cards from a different kit…I am having more ideas running around in my head!

The DSP is printed as shown above…the reverse of the prints are different

Gold Foil type prints! Very Elegant!

Here is what I stamped on the inside of both cards!

I did keep the insides simple, yet large, to mimic the marquee look!

I still wanted to keep enough space for that personal note!

Until the next Post…Marquee Blessings to you ALL!
