Petal Palette Suite Series Card #2!

Hello Again! Welcome Back for a peek at Today’s Card!

This is Card #2 in my Series featuring the Petal Passion Suite from the Occasions Catalog!

Here is my Card!

I do have to say…I like Pink and Black! I need a Blouse like this!!!!

I trimmed the Petal Passion Memories & More Card down to 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″

I then matted it with Powder Pink Cardstock, 2 3/4″ x 3″

To Color the Flowers and leaves, I used the Light Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend and

the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend.

The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, using Memento’s Tuxedo Black Ink.

The Petal Passion DSP is 4″ x 5 1/4″.

Here is the inside of my Card!

I stamped the sentiment from the Petal Passion Stamp Set, stamped in the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink too! The strip of Petal Passion DSP is the piece cut off the front piece. It is a great way to bring the front of the card into the inside too!

The inside Whisper White panel is 4″ x 5 1/4″

Here is my Card again!

Again, another Card, simple to make, yet elegant!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Elegance to you ALL!

look to the DSP, I hadn’t really looked at, when first getting the pack…there will be more

cards coming, but not till closer to June! I still have to decide which cards to make for

my class on June 6th! We shall see!

A Non-Traditional Wedding Card for Viva a Verve, May Sketch Challenge!

Hello Folks!

So many Weddings today are not Traditional.

It’s not a bad thing…couples are planning their own

celebrations of their unions, in their own way!

Other than Prince Harry and Meaghan…many couples

break further away from tradition than just a cake flavor

or choice of song for their first dance as a couple!

They make the day their own.

I admire that!

On to Today’s Card!

Here is the Challenge I entered!

Viva La Verve May 2018-a sketch challenge!

Here is my Card, again!

I now have that non-traditional Card in my stash!

When Mr. Hubster and I married, we had it in the evening,

it was a second marriage for the both of us,

and the reception was held in a home of a good friend’s Mother. She did

all the cooking and she did buy the cake, but it was a relaxed and enjoyable time.

There were about 40 close friends and relatives.

I did wear a traditional dress with train, but it was from 1935 and Ivory from age.

I wore a gardenia flower on a hair comb, and carried an artificial bouquet, made with

gardenia’s and greenery. Simple, however we did have a church service, candlelight!

Ah! So many years ago!!! BUT, we did have our own simple ‘Gala’ to celebrate.

We did it our way!

So…Kudos to those that plan ‘their day’ ‘their way’!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Great Planning to you ALL!

A Simple Birthday for HSS#289

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for peeking in Today!

Today’s Card is for a Sketch Challenge for

Hand Stamped Sentiments #289

Here is the Challenge!

HSS 289

Here is my Card!

I really like this DSP!

You are going to see this DSP used…I ordered a second pack!!!

There is a wide variety of color in this DSP!

It lists colors we know AND quite a few of the NEW Colors too!

Here is the list of Colors: New Colors in bold print!

Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron,

Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron,

Tranquil Tide, and Whisper White.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Specialty DSP and the matching cardstock!

When I get the package of DSP, I cut it down to 4″ x 6″. I bought the photo storage

plastic storage box from Michael’s. All the different DSP, I cut go into the smaller

container, and then, that container goes into the larger container that holds 16 of

those 4″ x 6″ boxes! Save the coupon and use it, or wait till the storage sale, which

seems to happen a lot! I save a few retired DSP and keep them in the container too!

I also cut a piece of the coordinating cardstock that matches, and I tape them together

and add them to the DSP storage box. Then straight away, I can see the colors and the

cardstock together and it makes it easy to put together!

Here is the inside of my Card!

I kept it REAL simple!

Stock and Measures:

Rich Razzleberry-card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ score @ 4 1/4, fold in half on the score

Basic Black-large flagged banner’s mat, 2 1/8″ x 5″

Tranquil Tide-greeting banner mat, 3/4″ x 2 1/2″

Whisper White-greeting banner, 5/8″ x 2 1/4″

Share What You Love Specialty DSP:

-flagged banner, 2″ x 4 3/4″

-rectangle, 2 1/2″ x 3″

Stamp Sets:

Itty Bitty Greetings-greeting

Cake Soirée-inside sentiment

Love What You Do-flowers on greeting and on inside panel

Rich Razzleberry-greeting, inside sentiment

Grapefruit Grove-little flowers on greeting and on inside panel

Banner Triple Punch-to flag the end of large banner and greeting banner and it’s mat

-I hand snipped the Basic Black mat to fit the DSP banner

Here is the Card, once again!

This DSP has so many Color Combinations!

I like that you can mix and match the DSP and the Cardstock Colors!

For the Card, I used 3 different Cardstock Colors for mats on the front!

And it Works!

Tomorrow’s Card is another mix of these beautiful DSP’s!

Until the next Post…Blessings and Color to you ALL!
