Hello All!
Welcome back for a peek at Today’s Card
Today’s Card is for a Sketch Challenge from
Freshly Made Sketches #328
Here is the Challenge!
Here is my take on the sketch!
We can always use Masculine Cards! I know I do!
My finished inside!
Mr. Hubster loves to Fish…and so do many of the men in my extended family!
Ready for giving with it’s stamped to match envelope!
Stock and Measures:
Cardstock:
Whisper White-card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ scored @ 4 1/4″
-banner, free-cut by hand (approx. 3/8″ X 3″)
-square-2 3/8″ X 2 3/8″
Night of Navy-front square mat, mat for banner (hand trimmed to fit banner)
DSP:
Naturally Eclectic-front panel, 4″ X 5 1/4″
Stamp Sets:
Seaside Shore-inside fish, anchor, sentiment, envelope fish
By the Tide-retired, front square fish, coral, seahorse
Teeny Tiny Wishes-greeting
Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads:
Crumb Cake-coral on front
Tranquil Tide-front fish, inside sentiment
Calypso Coral-seahorse, 1 fish inside, envelope fish
Night of Navy-greeting, 1 inside fish
Soft Suede-inside anchor
Pear Pizzazz-sea grass, inside
I didn’t have to embellish or “Bling-Up”…it stands well enough on it’s own for
giving…it is going to a young man, and they aren’t the “Blingy” type!
I think I even surprised myself that this card was pretty much made
with no other tools, other than the Stampin’Up! Paper Trimmer!
Just like the old days of Card Making! Oh, don’t get me wrong…I love my tools!
Sometimes simplicity speaks volumes!
What do you think? Do you use tools all the time or do you keep it simple?
Let me know, I am curious too!
Until the next Post…Blessings and Simple joys to you ALL!
That DSP is the perfect backdrop for your fishy scene! Mr. Hubster will love it! And I also love the way you finished off the inside! Glad you joined us at FMS!
Always love a good masculine card – love how you’ve done the inside as well as outside…great take on the sketch! Thanks for playing along with FMS this week!
Fabulous masculine card! That paper is gorgeous and your inside is wonderful. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
